Neva Deonne Brady-Morgan is a third generation “Neva” named after her mother and grandmother (her mother was also called by her middle name). Deonne was a social worker before she began her teaching career and has been teaching Secondary English/ Language Arts, Special Education, English Language Learners, or Adult Basic Education since 1982. She took ten years off to be a mommy and raise her own children (but did a lot of volunteer work as well as run a home-daycare) during that time. She is a bonafide tree-hugger, is married (2nd time), has two grown Inter-Racial children, really likes people, enjoys teens, and has a big heart (yet will use her imaginary – soft – big stick when needed). She is mostly from Minnesota having moved gobs as a child going to 13 (you read that right) schools.
