What You’ll Find at Paladin
Experiential Learning offers Paladin students an engaging education, leading to greater academic success, all while developing confidence and leadership skills.
Beyond In-school experiential seminars, students take trips to locations like Gooseberry Falls, the Boundry Waters Canoe Area, and Art and Science museums. Service learning through Feed My Starving Children, Claire House, and other volunteering outlets offer additional opportunities for growth.
Project-Based Learning is a proven method of creating independent lifelong learners. In addition to mastering academic content, the project process fosters a full spectrum of 21st century skills, including critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and creativity.
Project-based learning lends itself to student-driven, rather than curriculum-based, education, by rewarding positive behaviors like drive, passion, and resiliency. Led by students, this model cultivates decision-making and student voice, where staff support and guide students in creating successful and meaningful products.
Work-Based Learning trains students with skills and work ethics that lead to sustainable opportunities for earning income, breaking the cycle of poverty. By interacting with industry professionals and recognizing the educational value of student employment, Paladin encourages teamwork, respectfulness, self-management, technology training, and a healthy workplace culture.
Paladin’s individualized experiential environment cultivates professional and capable citizens who are equipped with both the skills and values required for success.
Dedicated mentors, called Success Coordinators, build positive relationships supporting student growth as both educators and role-models. As Paladin team members guide students through the learning process, students capitalize on invaluable life skills such as time management, goal setting, and fostering accountability for their results.
Why Paladin is Right for You
Paladin Career Tech is a tuition-free public charter school serving grades 9 – 12. Paladin is immensely fortunate for its diversity, which enriches the educational process where individualized programming supports the needs and interests of each student, thereby maximizing the potential for success.
Paladin meets students where they are in their educational pursuits and life experiences. We understand how real-life circumstances can create barriers to education, and are dedicated to the belief that these obstacles should not define a student’s capabilities or potential.
