Esther Seha

Esther is a freelance researcher and educator who has worked in a variety of settings including universities, schools, nonprofit organizations, and businesses. She is a graduate of the Free University Berlin and Leuphana University Lüneburg, where she has received a MA and PhD in Political Science.

Born and raised in Germany to an American father and a German mother, Esther moved to Minneapolis in 2016 to explore new ways of being an activist thinker and educator. While being versed in a broad range of social studies topics, her key personal and professional interest is food. She finds that – as a basic need – food can be used to teach a multitude of academic and life skills in an approachable and engaging way. Over the past years, she has planned, organized, and assisted in a multitude of projects and events around food, particularly food waste, food security, and sustainable agriculture.

Esther is a passionate biker, dancer, cake baker, reader, and conversation maker and loves to be out in the open air.
